Carl Cook is the President/Owner of Alaska Law Group. His practice emphasizes on domestic relations, family law, custody, visitation, child support and criminal law. Mr. Cook was raised in Alaska and graduated from Bartlett High School. He later joined the United States Marine Corps, working various jobs such as Presidential Security for President Reagan, Military Policeman, Primary Marksmanship Instructor, and Recruit Training on Parris Island, SC. At the end of his enlistment Mr. Cook was honorably discharged and returned to Anchorage.
Mr. Cook applied, and was accepted, to the Willamette University College of Law. While attending Willamette he concentrated on both Alternative Dispute Resolution and Trial Practice. During law school he worked at the College of Law Honor Code Counsel, and was awarded an internship with the Municipality of Anchorage Prosecutors Office. Mr. Cook graduated from Willamette College of Law in 2001 and returned to Anchorage.
Prior to opening his own practice in 2007, Mr. Cook worked for the law firm of Houston & Houston, P.C. for six years, specializing in criminal and family law. While working at Houston & Houston, Mr. Cook recognized the need for committed domestic relations attorneys who realize that their clients are likely experiencing the most difficult and emotional time in their lives.
Carl Cook takes his role as Lawyer and Counselor seriously. He is an assertive advocate who understands that clients are, and must be, in charge of their own lives. Mr. Cook is committed to assisting clients attain their goals in both domestic relations and criminal matters.
